Alcohol

Alcohol can affect physical and mental wellbeing, including balance, coordination, sleep and energy levels. For some people with neurological conditions, alcohol may also interact with medications or make symptoms harder to manage.

If you have any concerns about your alcohol use, or would like support to cut down, help is available.

You can:

  • Speak to your GP for confidential advice
  • Use national self-help tools to check your drinking and explore ways to reduce it
  • Access local alcohol support services if you feel you need extra help
