DANES - (Disability Advice North-East Suffolk)

DANES offers a free, impartial, and confidential information, advice, advocacy and representation service throughout Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, Southwold, Halesworth and all surrounding villages. The service is offered to anyone with a disability, their carers, and professionals working with them to help overcome day-to-day problems of disability. Alongside their general advice service, they offer specialist support with welfare benefits and an employability service.

Suffolk Family Carers 

Suffolk Family Carers is a registered charity supporting unpaid carers (adults and children) in Suffolk, who look after loved ones with illness, disability, or addiction, offering services like respite, emotional support, financial guidance, and breaks, helping them manage their caring roles and improve their well-being through services like Young Carers support in schools and emergency planning.

The Pear Tree Centre 

The Pear Tree Centre is a warm and welcoming one-stop-shop which offers support, information, counselling and benefits advice to anyone who has been diagnosed with a life-changing illness.
The centre is open to anyone living in north-east Suffolk and south Norfolk – including the rural towns and villages around Bungay, Beccles, Kessingland, Southwold, Leiston, Saxmundham, Framlingham, Stradbroke, Fressingfield and Harleston.

The centre is open from 10am to 4pm on Monday to Friday.
