Research Opportunities

Trusted

Accelerating Research, Transforming Care (Multiple Sclerosis)

We are supporting Trusted, a national project designed to improve care and treatment choices for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

With your permission, Trusted securely uses health information to help researchers understand which MS treatments work best for different people, so that everyone can be offered the right treatment at the right time.

Trusted can also let you know about MS research studies and clinical trials you may be eligible for, including trials of new treatments. There is no pressure to take part – it is entirely your choice.

Our neurology team are sharing information about Trusted with people who may wish to find out more and decide whether to sign up.

ReSTORe

The ReSTORe study aims to find out if a home-based, supervised online programme can help improve well-being after a stroke.

We are supporting the ReSTORe study, which aims to improve well-being for people after a stroke. Many stroke survivors experience ongoing challenges such as fatigue, low mood, reduced fitness or confidence, particularly once routine hospital and follow-up care has ended.

ReSTORe is exploring whether a supervised, online, home-based programme can help support recovery and well-being after stroke. The study will compare two types of online support: a single session of advice and support with a trained professional, or a 10-week supervised online group exercise and recovery support programme.

Our teams are helping to identify and signpost people who may be eligible and interested in finding out more about taking part.
